The Mankato West girls basketball team is gaining some momentum heading toward the playoffs, winning their last three coming into tonight.
The Scarlets were back at home tonight trying to make it four in a row against Rochester Mayo, a Spartans team sitting in 2nd place in the girls' Big Nine standings.
West led by three at halftime, and by seven in the 2nd half, but Mayo comes back to win 63-53.
