The last time this building was occupied full-time by grades 4th-6th was the 2009 and 2010 school year. Since closing its doors, the school district saved $190,000. Superintendent, Dick Orcutt says,
The JWP school board voted 4 to 2 Monday to sell the building for $1 to the Southern Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

This is kellie O'Leary, a kindergarten teacher in breckenridge, Minnesota.
Her boyfriend at the time decided to take her fishing on otter tail lake in north
Dakota... But he had a few tricks up his sleeve.
He gathered some friends to put a ring on a fake fish and have kellie catch it.
O'Leary says: "I saw it go down. I saw it go down really fast and I'm thinking, "wow, all these bubbles, it went down really fast, I'm really going to catch a big fish." so then I pulled it up and I was scared. I thought it was a decoy."
