The last time this building was occupied full-time by grades 4th-6th was the 2009 and 2010 school year. Since closing its doors, the school district saved $190,000. Superintendent, Dick Orcutt says,
The JWP school board voted 4 to 2 Monday to sell the building for $1 to the Southern Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

Greece is getting another bailout. Leaders within the European Union have agreed to give the struggling country 170 billion dollars in bailout loans. Details of the deal are still being worked out. Without the rescue package Greece could have defaulted on its debt next month causing a financial crisis.
