Santorum Continues To Lead in Polls, Romney Leads in Fundraising

Posted: Updated:

The Republican primaries in Arizona and Michigan are just one week from today. Rick Santorum is beating Mitt Romney in the polls, but Romney's campaign has more money. Santorum is leading in the polls and talking like a front runner. He ignored his Republican rivals, focusing his attacks on President Obama.

Romney has plenty of cash to help him catch up in the polls. His campaign raised 6 and a half million dollars last month. And the superpac supporting Romney raised six point six million.

Newt Gingrich's campaign is also very healthy financially – he raised more than five a half million dollars in January. But the former House speaker remains far behind in the polls. Gingrich is now promising voters that he'll get gas prices down to between two dollars and two fifty a gallon

Ron Paul is campaigning in North Dakota. He continues to concentrate on caucus states – believing that will help him pick up delegates.
