Agents with the state Fire Marshal's office are on the scene of a house explosion that injured a Freeborn County couple.

It happened in rural Hartland around 1:15 Friday afternoon.

Ralph William Yotter, 75, was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital for treatment of burns on multiple areas of his body. No report on his condition at this time.

His wife, Patricia Yotter, though not burned was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System's hospital in Albert Lea for her injuries.

The house was a loss. Freeborn County Sheriff Bob Kindler says the Yotters had recently sold their property, and were not living there at the time of the explosion.
