Owatonna Ball Fields Get Lights Thanks To Help From MLB

Playing under the lights wasn't an option at Jaycee Park in Owatonna for youth baseball players, until Friday night.
The Owatonna Huskies Bullpen Club held a ceremony to unveil the new illuminated field.
The club funded the 130 thousand dollar project thanks in part to a grant of over 45-thousand dollars they received from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund.
B-T-F is a joint initiative between Major League Baseball and the M-L-B players' association designed to promote growth of youth baseball and softball throughout the world.
Owatonna feels fortunate to be one of over 600 grants that have been awarded by the B-T-F.  
The addition of the lights will benefit approximately 500 ball players in Owatonna.
