Moondogs Host Steinbach For Twins Night

Posted: Updated:

The Minnesota Twins are still on their All-Star break so Mankato brought the major league down to the Northwoods League.
The Moondogs held their annual Twins night at Franklin Rodgers with special guests TC Bear, Organist Sue Nelson, and 1989 World Series Champion Terry Steinbach.
The New Ulm native threw out the first pitch and signed autographs. He seemed very excited to be back in his hometown area.
Steinbach says, "its a lot of fun. I mean for me it brings back a lot of memories. This league obviously wasn't here when I was of their age right now but to come to here and see these young athletes from all over the country get the opportunity to play some good baseball and hopefully see some of these guys make it to the big leagues is very encouraging.
Steinbach played for the Minnesota Twins from 1997-1999 when he finished his career in Minneapolis.
