MANKATO , MINN. -
The numbers are in, and the Minnesota Air Show Spectacular is deemed a financial success for the city of Mankato.
Officials gave a recap at Monday night's city council meeting, saying they made $30,000 on the event.
The estimated expanses were $640,000 and the estimated net revenue was $670,000.
City leaders say the $30,000 will be used for future air show expenses including acquisition of rain insurance and other on-going expenses. Also of note, the economic impact is also believed to have exceeded the expected $7.4 Million. Attendance estimates were around 35,000 people.
