MANKATO, Minn. -
MSU unveiled it's new bus wrap. This bus is one of Mankato's five new city buses. MSU President, Richard Davenport says, "Well I'm just thrilled. I think the university contributes a lot to this community. The students are so important to the community as well, but MSU is very committed to helping the city on the local region and southern Minnesota provide the education that is needed by all people in Mankato."
Mass Transit Superintendent Mark Anderson says, "What's different about these buses is that they're low floor vehicles and they have ramps as opposed to live the older vehicles had the lift come up and actually move down to the ground. This is a low floor vehicle where you can just walk right in. The ramp flips out so it's very, very accessible. It's quicker and it's very convenient."
The buses will be out on the road on the first day of school, August 27th.
