With the warm temps, a nice cold treat could be the ticket for some summer time relief.

And It could also help out children in need!

Participating Dairy Queen stores across the U.S. are kicking back some of their profits today to help out the Children's Miracle Network.

The DQ on Stoltzman Road will be joining the effort by giving $1 to Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital for every Blizzard sold.

The store owners say they are thrilled to be a part of the effort.

Dairy Queen Manager, "DQ" Joe Galli says, "Over the years we've had several customers benefiting from the Gillette Hospital. And so it's important to us."

Local families who have children that visit Gillette Hospital came out to support the cause.

Mother of a Rett Syndrome patient, Heather Olson says, "We're so thankful to them to help support Gillette children's. They're great community support. And that's wonderful.

The Miracle Treat Day will continue until 10:00 p.m. Thursday night.
