The structure you see here at Minneopa State Park was built more than 90 years ago.
On Sunday. several people took one last symbolic walk over the bridge to commemorate it. Photos were taken and people shared their memories about the bridge over the years.
The Minnesota DNR says Mother Nature has been taking quite a toll on the structure over the last several decades.
"The cement is breaking down to a point where we need to replace it," said Wayne Boerner of the Minnesota DNR.
The bridge is expected to be replaced yet this summer. Officials say construction will take approximately six weeks.
