Vikings Rookie WR Done For Season

Posted: Updated:

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Greg Childs is through for this season at least after undergoing  surgery today on both patellar tendons in his knees.

It was during the final minutes of Saturday night's practice that the injury occurred. Childs was trying to score on a long pass from Christian Ponder, and down he went.
Due to difficulties he's experienced before, Childs feels he'll be able to bounce back and persevere down the road.
Coach Leslie Frazier said Childs had a great attitude under the circumstances and if he approaches his rehab right he'll make it back from an injury like this.

"Your attitude and your focus are what get you through the dark days. There's going to be some dark days for him. It's going to be tough," Frazier said in press conference on Monday.
