MANKATO, MN -

A level three predatory offender is moving to Mankato, so authorities have set the date for a community notification meeting. The meeting regarding Romeo Alba will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, August 16 at the Verizon Wireless Center. Authorities say Alba is planning to move to the 1900 block of South Riverfront Drive upon his release from prison. They also report that Alba's prior offenses include engaging in sexual contact, including fondling, with female victims ages six and eight. His history states he entered the victim's residence during the night without permission and that he did not know the victims. Community members who are concerned or who have questions are encouraged to attend the meeting.
