Story from August 13, 2012:

It's been more than a week, but cattle are still on the loose in LeSueur County. We told you last week that some cattle had gotten out on Saturday, August 4th.

The LeSueur County Sheriff's office reports that three to five cattle are still roaming east of LeCenter. The problem is the cattle are hiding in corn fields and only get up and roam around dusk - that makes it tougher to find them.

Authorities are urging drivers to be cautious.  They say that the animals are probably around 800 pounds each and will cause more damage than a deer in a collision.
