Former State Representative Allen Quist has won the Republican nomination and will be on the ballot this November going head to head against incumbent Democrat Tim Walz.
Surrounded by supporters and volunteers of his campaign, Quist celebrating the victory and looking to getting back on the campaign trail.
"We need a balanced budget," said Quist. "That will be my focus. I believe that the federal government has lost its way, this debt will not sustain. That's why I cam out of retirement, because I want to make a difference," Quist stated as he made his victory speech.
Congressman Walz issuing a statement congratulating Allen Quist on his primary win, adding he's looking forward to a vigorous debate on the issues ahead of Novembers general election.
