SLEEPY EYE, Minn. - -

It may feel like summer vacation outside, but kids in Sleepy Eye had a fall kick off today for their first day of school. Superintendent John Cselovszki says, "It was nice to see some shining faces and some excitement in the building and getting ready for school to start, I'm pretty pumped."

Cselovszki says his highlight for today was introducing Wave Man to the students for the first time. Wave Man is the mascot for this year's Sleepy Eye Pride Theme "Catch the Wave and Show Your Sleepy Eye Pride." This year teachers will help students "Catch the Wave", with a set of lessons on the expected behaviors for the different areas of the school.
