Teams came from as far as California to compete in the ASA Men's National Championship. Co–tournament director Lynette Peterson says "It's the best caliber of fast pitch softball you can see, and these teams are fun to watch. There is a lot of close games. They really get into it and their families get into it cheering them on."
Peterson says this tournament is entertaining and boosts the surrounding economy. Peterson says, "We do have many teams staying at the hotels they are also going to the gas stations and filling up and buying snacks. They are going to the grocery stores. They are going to local bars and restaurants."
Peterson estimates an economic boost as high as $75,000 for the area. The tournament wraps up tomorrow.
