MANKATO , MINN. -
A Waseca County man accused of assaulting police and medical staff at Mankato's hospital bails out of jail - only to check in to Waseca County's jail.
We told you earlier this week that Casey Sather, 33, was arrested early Saturday morning. Police say he became combative in the Emergency Department at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato.
Sather was charged in Blue Earth County court Wednesday with
4th Degree Assault - Gross Misdemeanor
Obstruct Legal Process - Gross Misdemeanor
4 Counts of 5th Degree Assault - Misdemeanor
Sather Wednesday posted a $6,000 bail and was released to the custody of Waseca County. Waseca County Sheriff's Deputies picked him up on a probation violation.
A Waseca County judge this afternoon ordered him to serve 90 days on that misdemeanor probation violation. However, authorities tell News 12 that Sather can be furloughed from the Waseca County jail if he checks in to an alcohol treatment facility.
Sather is scheduled to be in Blue Earth County Court again on September 13th.
