WASECA, Minn. -

Waseca public schools got back to normal on Tuesday after a lockdown was issued district-wide.

Officials say the lockdown order was given early in the morning. The situation involved two 15-year-old juvenile males who are students in the Waseca school district.

Police say on Monday night at about 8:00 they received a report of a runaway male. That person is a student at Waseca Public Schools.

Police say they were also in touch with the sheriff's office, which was also trying to track down a separate person who ran away--that individual is also a student in the district.

On Tuesday, authorities say both students were found together and are back with their parents.

"There's no threat right now, there's been no threat that's been made," said Capt. Kris Markeson of the Waseca Police Department.

District officials after hearing news of the runaways, say they decided not to take any chances.

"We conferred internally and just decided for the safety and well being of our students, we just wanted to take the approach of locking our schools," said Brian Dietz, Waseca Public Schools superintendent.

Authorities say neither teen gave a reason for running away.
