Dry Conditions May Mean More Ducks

Posted: Updated:
Northwestern, Minn. -

Dry conditions are affecting much of the state, but one group may benefit from the lack of rain.

Duck hunters in northwest Minnesota could see good duck numbers this year because of low water levels.

The DNR says the lack of rain helps vegetation growth, which provides food and protective cover for waterfowl.

The DNR recommends hunters scout locations before hunting so they're not surprised by the extremely dry the conditions.
