Saint Peter students and classmates pay tribute tonight to a young girl killed in an accident earlier this year. Ashley Leonard died in a car accident back in June.
At tonight's volleyball match, all in attendance were asked to wear Leonard's favorite color lime green. Ashley's 8th grade teammates each received volleyballs with her name on them from varsity team members. The school sold wristbands as a fundraiser and presented Leonard's parents with a check for 500 dollars to go along with a framed photo of Ashley in her uniform.
