JANESVILLE, Minn. -
A train carrying ethanol is derailed outside of Janesville.
About 6:30 this morning, the train was leaving Guardian Energy when the buffer car and one car carrying ethanol came off the track.
No ethanol was spilled, no one was hurt, and no property was damaged. In fact, the train is expected to be back on the track this afternoon. The main rail line is still open, so operations won't be affected.
The Vice President of Operations at Guardian Energy says it's too early to determine the cause of the derailment but officials from Canadian Pacific are investigating.
