MANKATO , MINN. -
Hundreds of people turned out in support of a local man seriously injured in a car crash over a year ago.
Family, friends and community members packed Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato to help the family of William Gray.
Gray was seriously injured in July of 2011 when a pickup truck crossed over the centerline on Highway 14 and hit the car he was driving.
Two motorcyclists were killed in that crash.
The benefit is to help the family with ongoing medical expenses but also to help them emotionally.
"Just to kind of have the support and motivation to keep going and keep fighting on Bill's behalf is really important for the family," Kate Roberts said.
The benefit featured a spaghetti feed, silent auction and live music.
