AFGHANISTAN -
A suicide bomber killed several troops in an attack this morning in eastern Afghanistan. The deaths come after a deadly weekend for U.S. forces in the Afghan capital.
The bomber wore an Afghan police uniform and drove a motorcycle packed with explosives. He rammed into a group of NATO soldiers - killing at least 14 people. the troops had just left vehicle to walk through a local market.
The Taliban claims it is behind the attack. American forces are now checking the Afghan police and soldiers they work with more closely. They're aiming to build trust - to stop 'insider attacks.' More than 50 NATO troops were killed this year when Afghan troops turned their guns against them. More than 2000 us troops have been killed in Afghanistan since the war began.
