Noaker anticipates it will be at least 18 months before this case will be set for trial.
The Allen Quist and Tim Walz campaign are butting heads as the general election inches closer. Quist is demanding an apology from Walz after last week's debate in Byron. According to Quist, Walz accused him of having said he wanted to cut veterans benefits. However, Quist says that is not true. When asked for clarification, the Walz campaign cited a pre-primary debate held last April. In that debate, Quist says he made no mention of cutting benefits to vets.
Quist says, "Only a public apology will suffice, because the statement he made was public, his second statement that there supposedly was a tape verifying his position was public, he needs to make a public correction and public apology."
News 12 contacted the Walz campaign for comment, however at this time, no statement has been issued from Walz's office.
