The Minnesota Timberwolves officially opened their 2012 training camp today at Bresnan arena in the Taylor center at MSU.
This is a brand new season for coach Rick Adelman and he has added a few pieces to the puzzle this time around. The Twolves finalized their training camp roster on Friday by signing unrestricted free agents Will Conroy, Mike Harris, Chris Johnson, Phil Jones, Seth Tarver, and Jermaine Taylor. That leaves the camp roster with 20 players.
The Wolves will once again be led this season by all–star Kevin Love, who picked up a gold medal with his mates recently at the Olympic Games in London. Love looks trim and ready to lead his team again in the weeks ahead.
Noticeably missing from the court today was guard Ricky Rubio who watched on from the sidelines as he continues to rehab his surgically repaired left knee. He expects to be back by sometime in December.
The wolves practice through Friday at MSU, practices are closed to the public. The Wolves first preseason game is on Oct. 10th vs Indiana at the Fargo dome in Fargo North Dakota.
