DENVER, CO -

President Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney square off in Denver tonight for the first of three Presidential debates. The focus this evening will be on the economy, healthcare and other domestic issues.  The stage is set for the first Presidential debate. Mitt Romney trails in many battleground state polls and this is an opportunity for him to gain some ground.

As many as 50 million people could watch tonight's debate including millions of unemployed Americans anxious to see who has the best jobs plan. Bill Holman is trying to land work. He's been a regular at this job center since he was let go as a truck driver last December. The 61 year old has been sleeping at a homeless shelter for 5 months and says he's still waiting on both candidates to offer specifics.

Romney participated in 19 debates during the primary season. President Obama is also a seasoned debater.

Today Republicans are also highlighting comments Vice President Biden made on the campaign trail. Biden said Tuesday the middle class had been -quote- "buried for the last four years." The GOP says that's proof the President's policies haven't worked. Democrats point the finger at the Republican administration in power before President Obama.
