Candidates for state house to represent the Mankato area debated last night at MSU. Incumbent Kathy Brynaert and her Republican challenger Thad Shunkwiler letting voters know a bit more about who they are and fielding questions from the audience on the issues like school vouchers and how they feel about the constitutional amendments. Brynaert saying she opposes both the marriage and voter ID amendment. While Shunkwiler says he opposes the marriage amendment but supports the voter ID amendment.
Greater Mankato Growth hosts its next debate, a Mankato City Council Candidate Forum, this Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Mankato City Center Hotel.
