North Mankato, MN -

A North Mankato woman is arrested after allegedly threatening a cab driver with a gun last night. Mankato Department of Public Safety says 22-year- old Virgina Denise Homesly, called a cab to take her to the store. Authorities say during the cab ride, she took the driver's cell phone and made a call stating she was being kidnapped.

Commander Craig Frericks says,"And then she made mention of having a gun. At that point in time the cab pulled over...cause that's what she wanted him to do and as she got out, just a random vehicle came by and she flagged him down and got in and they left."

Homesly left the cab at Highway 14 and North Victory Drive. Police later found Homesly at her North Mankato residence, where she was taken into custody. Requested charges include; Felony Terroristic Threats and theft.
