County Officials Say No Maltreatment in Hoffner Child Porn Case

MANKATO, Minn. -

The defense team for MSU Coach Todd Hoffner releases a report from Blue Earth County Human Services saying social workers found no evidence of abuse after interviewing his children.
Upon release of this information, all sides have been tight-lipped about where the case goes from here.

In two letters written to both Todd Hoffner and his wife, dated September 26th, a social worker with Blue Earth County said they "did not determine that maltreatment occurred or that child protective services are needed."

Those letters were passed along to media outlets by a publicist out of the Twin Cities, using letterhead from the law firm defending Hoffner, Maschka, Riedy and Ries.
Todd Hoffner, the head coach of the MSU football team was charged with child pornography back in August after short video clips were found on his university issued cell phone by a campus IT worker.

Hoffner's defense in court had been that the clips on his phone were nothing more than family videos, and since this release, all parties involved - Blue Earth County Human Services, the Blue Earth County assistant attorney handling the case, Mike Hanson, and Hoffner defense attorney Jim Fleming are refusing to comment on the case.
