A former teacher at a Faribault prep school is charged with having sexual contact with six students. Prosecutors charging Lynn Seibel Monday with several counts.

Former Shattuck St. Mary's teacher Lynn Seibel is charged with 17 counts including second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Faribault Police Chief Don Gudmondson says, "The charges in this case are particularly sordid."

The incidents allegedly happened from 1996 through 2003 and involved male students ages 15 to 18.

Chief Gudmondson says, "In one incidence a young man came to the door and said you don't know how long I have waited for you to come."

According to the complaint the abuse took place in the classroom and the dorms- Seibel was also a dorm parent and lived in the dorms with the students to supervise them.

Authorities say Seibel was fired from the school in 2003 after child pornography was discovered on his computer, but police were apparently not informed, and he was never charged.

Seibel is currently an actor in Los Angeles and he reportedly told the LA police that he did in fact touch students inappropriately and says it was stupid.

Seibel is in custody in LA on unrelated charges.
