MANKATO, MN -

Mankato's new Public Safety Center is nearing completion and you'll soon have a chance to check it out for yourself. An open house will be held Tuesday, October 23rd from one to 8 P.M. The dedication will happen prior to that at 12:30. The existing building was gutted and re-purposed to house the police and fire department under one roof. Construction started in the summer of 20-11 and is ending on time. Employees will start moving into the building a day or two after the open house. He expects it to be fully up and running by Halloween.
