Cleveland's Ziebarth Zipping By Opponents

Posted: Updated:

Kyle Ziebarth's offense has helped propel the Cleveland Clippers to a 5-1 start this season.
The senior running back has carried the ball over 150 times in the 6 games this year, while that kind of load could wear out some players, his coach says it is what Ziebarth needs to be the most productive.

Kern compares Ziebarth to Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson because he is more of a straight ahead runner, but very explosive.

Ziebarth has racked up just over 800 yards on the ground to go with 10 touchdowns.
He has also caught 22 passes for 239 yards and two more scores.
Ziebarth says the credit for his offensive success goes to the guys leading the way and making holes for him to run through.

Ziebarth entered the year looking for the Clippers to have a .500 record or better and rush for over a thousand yards.
It looks like those both will happen thanks to his efforts.
That's why he's our KEYC Scheels All-Sports Boys Prep Athlete of the Week.
