MANKATO , MINN. -

The Mankato Symphony Orchestra's "Music On The Hill" season kicked–off. This is the third Season for this four–concert event. Executive director of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra Sara Buechmann says this concert gives people a chance to experience the music on a more intimate level. Buechmann says, "It's a really good way to experience classical music, its less intimidating than a traditional concert you don't feel like you have to dress up or be quiet you get a chance to ask questions of the musicians and learn more."

Buechmann says each concert always has some music familiar to the audience, but they always try to introduce them to something new they've never heard. Today's concert is called "From The New World". The next concert titled "Folk Origins" will be held on January 13th.
