Mankato -

If you're looking to get rid of all those leaves on your lawn, the City of Mankato can help you out.

Leaf pickup service begins Monday, and is budgeted to last four weeks.

Officials say leaves are removed from the street the day after recycling and/or garbage is picked up.

If that falls on a Friday, leaves will be picked up the following Monday.

Another option residents have is to bring leaves to the Southern Minnesota Construction compost site. There is no cost for Mankato, non-commercial residents.
