Congressman Tim Walz picks up another endorsement before Election Day.
Former U.S. Sen. Dave Durenberger announced he's throwing his support behind Walz.
The Republican spoke jointly with the Democrat this morning in downtown Mankato.
Walz says he's honored to have Durenberger on his side come November Sixth.
"The Senator's knowledge on health care and health care reform, probably rivals anyone else in the country," Walz said.
Durenberger says even though Walz's party is on the other side of the aisle, the incumbent has a strong record of accomplishment.
"He has been there through the toughest period of time of America's history since the Second World War, and he has served you incredibly well," Durenberger said.
Durenberger's endorsement comes on the heels of Walz receiving endorsements from the New Ulm Journal and Worthington Daily Globe.
