Top Seeds Blue Earth Area And Nicollet To Host Section Title Games

Blue Earth Area reclaimed the Little Brown Jug from Fairmont during the regular season.  Saturday afternoon saw the Buccaneers eliminate the Cardinals 29-8.  The 2011 Class-AAA runner-up from Fairmont was run over by BEA junior quarterback Kysten Zierke who got the Bucs on the board first.  Zierke would throw a touchdown to Isaac Darrington later in the first half and it would be the game winner.  Blue Earth Area will host Tri-City United in the championship after the Titans beat Redwood Valley 27-17.

Section 2-9 Man's top seeded Nicollet Raiders also will host their section championship after beating Madelia 33-26.  The Raiders will take on Mountain Lake Area for the title after the Wolverines defeated Cleveland 49-36.
