Early Saturday morning, a Mankato Police Officer attempted to stop a Ford Escort that was speeding on Monks Avenue. Instead of pulling-over, the driver turned on to Balcerzak Drive and sped away. The pursuit reached 80 miles an hour before several officers managed to stop 18 year-old, Vincent Lee of Chaska at the intersection of Victory Drive and Hoffman Road.
Officials say Lee was combative and refused to cooperate. Lee was arrested and booked into Blue Earth County Jail. Requested charges include: Fleeing in a motor vehicle (a felony), Obstruction with force and 3rd degree test refusal.
