Large generators from MTU Onsite Energy are heading east from both the production facility in Mankato and distribution centers throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

The diesel or natural gas powered generators can be as large as five megawatts, and will be placed in some of the most crucial facilities in the region.

Director of Sales for MTU Onsite Energy Alan Prosser says, "We mainly focus on data centers, health care and other mission critical facilities, so our product right now to sites without power, to hospitals without power, to manufacturing plants without power, and we're shipping some of our new rental units out to fulfill some of the demand right now."

MTU expects 15-20 of their generators will be placed throughout the east coast over the next few days.
