MANKATO , MINN. -
The Children's Museum in Mankato held its second all–access event today. Staff say there was a constant flow of kids coming in throughout the day. Children were able to play at the museum free of charge. The event's purpose is to welcome families that may experience barriers to regular museum participation. Museum Community Impact Coordinator Sue Larson says, "We really want the community to know that this is a place for all families and by offering an event like this it's welcoming for everybody to come in our doors and check us out and hopefully want to come back and visit us again and again."
Larson says the Children's Museum is committed to ensuring that all children have an opportunity to experience the joy of learning and fun.
