Polling places of course now open around our region... And if you haven't been able to get out and vote yet...Minnesota polling precincts will be open until 8 o clock tonight. At this polling place in Blue Earth County already more than 800 voters passing through... State elections officials are expecting a nearly 80 percent turnout statewide....about three million voters. Two amendments are driving voters to the polls in our state... Minnesota residents are voting on two proposed revisions to the state constitution today. One amendment would strengthen the state law against gay marriage by putting it in the constitution, the other would require voters in future elections to show a photo ID. Both amendments expected to be close, however the Secretary of State's office says amendments are not automatically subject to a recount.
