DNR Still Urging Water Conservation

Posted: Updated:

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reminding residents of Mankato and North Mankato, along with several other cities, to conserve water.

The DNR recently formally communicated with the two cities that they are in a drought warning phase.  That means residents are urged to conserve water.

We told you last month that the DNR began urging state residents to cut back on their use of water.

City officials say even though water supplies are adequate, they're still encouraging conservation.

Moisture received during the winter months will determine drought status next year.
