One of the reasons for the gender pay gap women are not ascomfortable negotiating with employers on things like salary.
That is just some of the information attendees learned at theYWCA's Inaugural Women's Leadership conference. Former Speaker of the MinnesotaHouse Margaret Anderson Kelliher was among the speakers; she spoke aboutimproving negotiating skills in all aspect of life.
Anderson Kelliher says, "Everybody has limitedresources, we have limited time, limited money, and we need to maximize thevalues that we can get out of our negotiated agreements."
The goal of the conference was to prepare women, andthe organization in which they work, to maximize the benefits of their uniquetalents.
