Caterpillar says it plans to close its plant there to shift the work to Wisconsin and Georgia. The plant employs about one hundred people and will close in March 2013. Caterpillar spokeswoman Rachel Potts says the forest products plant will ``ramp down'' production between now and the targeted closing date. She says Owatonna production will be shifted to plants in Prentice, Wisconsin and LaGrange, Georgia. Potts says the plant will be sold.
