Music lovers and mall goers crossed paths Saturday at the River Hills mall in Mankato

It was part of the 'Minnesota Sings!' choral festival.

Similar events were simultaneously performed at eight locations across the state.

A variety of choral groups, thirty–eight in total, let their voices ring from Rochester to Roseville to help celebrate year 50th anniversary of the Minnesota Choral Directors Association.

Gustavus Adolphus Choir Director Greg Aune says, "We kind of wanted to bring choral music for the people and we thought, a mall, we are going to find people at a mall."

The goal of Minnesota Sings! is to celebrate choral music of all kinds in what they call the Land of 10,000 Choirs.
