MANKATO , MINN. -
Mankato police are looking for two juvenile males allegedly involved in a vehicle theft. Mankato Public Safety Commander Craig Frericks says, "One of our officers last night saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and when he got behind it, identified it as stolen from North Mankato. A short pursuit ensued and the vehicle crashed out and the people inside, they were two younger males, fled the scene and no one has been apprehended at this time"
Officers first spotted the car at 3rd Avenue and Maxwell. After a short pursuit, the stolen car crashed into some trees in the 1300 block of 5th Avenue. Police spent an hour searching for the suspects. Authorities are asking that anyone with information to please contact Mankato public safety.
