ST. PETER, MINN. -
For the first time since June, Nicollet County has its new administrator set in stone...or rather paper.
Tuesday the commissioners passed a resolution to bring Ryan Krosch on board. For the first time the county also approved an employment agreement for Krosch, which they say is common in other counties.
There was some debate among commissioners on some of the contract terms relating to termination and severance, but in the end they decided it was important to move forward with the hiring.
Commissioner Bruce Beatty says, "We didn't want this to be any type of anything that would hold thing up, we wanted to get the process done today. If anything need to be modified or changed I the future we can always talk with our new administrator about it."
Krosch will assume his role with the county on the first of the year with a starting yearly salary of $111,586.43.
Krosch is a Vernon Center native and is currently the administrator in Yellow Medicine County.
