Minnesota -
Minnesota's unemployment rate held steady last month even as the state lost just more than 8,000 jobs. This morning, The state Department of Employment and Economic Development reported that October's jobless rate remained at 5.8 percent, that is still well below the national unemployment rate of 7.9 percent. The job losses were concentrated in professional and business services, government and the hospitality industry, while gains could be seen in construction jobs.
