Employees at Perfectseal met their United Way fundraising goal... so Plant manager Scott Felder had to move his desk to work outside all day.
Felder is also on the Board of Directors for United Way; his dare coaxed $17, 130 .
His only condition: it couldn't be raining.
"Cold doesn't really bother me in general, says Felder. "Obviously the sun out makes it a whole lot nicer. It was a little chilly around nine o'clock when I came out here... about 40 degrees. But once the sun came over, it certainly made it a lot nicer."
Perfectseal's parent company, Bemis, matched 100 percent of those donations, making for 34 thousand dollars raised.
The Greater Mankato United Way is now halfway toward their two–million dollar goal for 2013.
