MANKATO, Minn. -

There's another scam to watch out for... this one involving access to personal information on your computer.

Q Computers in Mankato have had a number of people contact them about this latest scam.
Victims receive a phone call from someone posing as a Microsoft employee looking to gain access to your computer in order to fix problems.

Wendy Greiner, who works with Q Computers, says, "Most of the time they are asking for a credit card number. And just like anything else - if you get a phone call from somebody, and they're seeking you out, there's probably a problem there."

The scam is tricky because it uses legit services, like log me in dot com, to gain access.
One person that reported the issue to Q Computers said the scammers made off with over $600 before she realized there could be a problem.
